Cosmic Streaming: God Cannot Endure Boredom

Lee Han, an unknown actor on Earth, begins to suffer from a mysterious ringing in his ears. Soon after, a strange interface window appears before his eyes. It is the Cosmic Ratings Chart. He discovers the terrifying truth: every intelligent being in the universe, including humanity, has been used from birth as a living CCTV camera and streamer to relieve the boredom of God, the Absolute Being. Intense emotions such as pain, ecstasy, betrayal, fear, and despair are the most popular forms of “content” for God. Lee Han learns that his ratings are near the bottom. He also discovers the rule of the system: lifeforms with low ratings are categorized as “boring episodes” and are “edited out” through natural disasters, accidents, or sudden death. To survive, Lee Han begins to act out his own life. He abandons ordinary existence and deliberately writes a sensational narrative for himself — falling into a deadly romance, suffering brutal betrayal, and staging revenge — all to give God the kind of intense drama He desires. As Lee Han’s ratings skyrocket, he becomes Earth’s main streamer. But the more obsessed he becomes with ratings, the more the people around him are reduced to props in his performance. Guilt begins to consume him. Then he comes into contact with rebels who, like him, know the secret of the system. Their plan is to make God lose all interest and bring the entire cosmic broadcast system to an end. Lee Han makes a decision that strikes at God’s weakness. At the most dramatic moment, he will perform a state of perfect nothingness — an absolute absence of emotion — and feed God the one poison He has never experienced before: extreme boredom. When the entire universe’s channel becomes fixed on Lee Han’s silent refusal to do anything, God panics and begins to intervene directly.
