1. The Collapse of Probability
On his way back to the hideout with the Dead Zone members, Jinwoo experiences a strange phenomenon.
A runaway truck appears in an alley and charges toward him. But just before impact, it stops directly in front of him, as if ignoring the laws of physics.
The smell of burning tires fills the air. The driver gets out as though possessed, hands Jinwoo a bag filled with money, and says:
“I don’t know why… but I feel like I have to give this to you. It’s my entire fortune.”
Jinwoo shudders.
This is not luck.
The bored viewer — God — has chosen him as a favorite character. The system has activated an absurd form of plot armor around him.
2. Tragedy for the Ratings
God wants sensational developments.
As good fortune pours onto Jinwoo, dramatic tragedy is forced upon those around him.
A mysterious fire suddenly breaks out in the apartment of Mina, a hacker colleague who has been helping Jinwoo. Before the fire trucks arrive, the flames begin to swallow her apartment.
But the camera focuses only on Jinwoo’s reaction.
As Jinwoo screams in despair, a small system pop-up appears between the clouds.
[HOT CLIP: Despairing Hero]
Jinwoo realizes the truth.
To God, humanity is not life.
It is only a culture medium used to extract dramatic reactions.
3. Refusing the Script
Jinwoo runs into the flames to save Mina.
By common sense, he should die. But wherever Jinwoo moves, the fire parts like the Red Sea. He rescues Mina and escapes.
But he cannot rejoice.
Because he sees a strange glow in Mina’s eyes.
“Jinwoo… I can see… the number of likes. They were voting on whether I should die…”
Mina has also seen part of God’s interface.
God is no longer merely watching. He is now deciding human life and death through viewer-participation events.
4. Escape to the Blind Spot
Jinwoo leads the Dead Zone members deep underground into an abandoned mine, where electromagnetic signals are blocked.
But God’s gaze is relentless.
As the outgoing data stream is cut off, the quality of the world rapidly deteriorates. The objects around them begin breaking apart into low-resolution polygon blocks.
“If we become boring, He’ll delete this world.”
Jinwoo makes his decision.
Hiding is not enough.
He will weaponize the one thing God hates most:
predictable boredom.
He plans Operation No Jam — killing all emotion and acting like machines to drive ratings to the bottom.
5. Ending: The Uninvited Guest
Then the mine’s massive iron door disappears without any physical impact.
A man emerges as if from smoke. He wears a perfectly pressed suit and smiles with no trace of human emotion.
He hands Jinwoo a tablet.
“Pleasure to meet you, protagonist. I am the chief producer of Celestial Media. Your character profile is so compelling that I came to sign you myself. Of course, if you refuse, the server known as Earth will be shut down as of today.”
The figure before Jinwoo is God’s agent — the director of a cosmic reality show.
With trembling hands, Jinwoo takes the tablet.
On the screen is the script for the next episode.
[Episode 3: Betrayal by a Beloved Comrade]
Jinwoo turns to Mina.
In her hand, there is already a dagger capable of piercing his heart.
