Beta Service Notice

1. Purpose of the Beta

The beta service phase is designed to test and improve Novelhaus's features, operational policies, and user experience. Feedback collected during this period may be used to enhance the platform before official launch.

2. Changes to Features & Policies

• During beta, features may be added, modified, or removed without prior notice.
• The interface (UI), operational policies, and participation conditions (such as scoring thresholds) may change as the service stabilizes.
• We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to registered users.
• The Content Policy applies in full during beta. Being in beta does not relax the rules on sexual content, violence, harassment, or plagiarism.

3. Data Retention & Stability

• Data created or stored during beta — including pitches, episodes, scores, and profile information — is not guaranteed to be permanently retained at the same level as an officially launched service.
• Some data may be modified, migrated, or deleted as part of system improvements, structural changes, or security measures.
• SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc. will make reasonable backup and recovery efforts where feasible, but cannot guarantee full data preservation during the beta phase.

4. Acceptance & Acknowledgment Records

• During beta, acknowledgment mechanisms (such as "I have read this" buttons or checkbox confirmations) are implemented primarily for UX improvement purposes.
• These records may not constitute a complete legal proof system equivalent to that of a fully launched service.
• Before the official launch, SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc. may introduce server-side acceptance logs, terms versioning, and formal re-consent flows where legally required.
• Moderation records — reports you file, review decisions on your content, and appeal correspondence — are kept as described in the Privacy Policy §8 and are retained beyond the beta period.

5. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

• SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc. does not guarantee that the beta service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fully complete at any time.
• Unless caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc., liability for damages arising from beta use may be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
• The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure events including natural disasters, network failures, or hosting/infrastructure outages.
• Because Novelhaus is free to use, the liability cap in Terms of Service §13 applies: total liability for any claim will not exceed US $100, except where the law does not permit such a limit.
• Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose. Export or back up your drafts; see section 3.

6. Transition to Official Service

• Upon transition to official service, updated Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Contributor Terms will be announced. Users may be required to re-consent where necessary.
• This Beta Service Notice will automatically expire upon official launch or on a termination date designated by SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc.
• Users will be notified of the transition timeline via registered email and on-platform announcement.

7. What Does Not Change After Beta

Beta status lets us change features and policies quickly. It is not a way to walk back the commitments the platform is built on. The following do not expire when the beta ends, and cannot be changed retroactively:

• You keep 100% of the copyright in everything you write. Novelhaus takes no ownership percentage — not during beta, not after. See Terms §6.
• No revenue share, commission, or payout arises from contributing. The earlier 52/12/36 allocation and the 70/30 Single Writer split were released on September 7, 2026 and will not return. See Terms §8.
• Reading and writing stay free. Every signed-in member can do both at no charge. See What is free.
• No retroactive commercial claim. If Novelhaus ever introduces a paid feature or a publishing arrangement, it would be a separate agreement you choose to sign, applying only to work you opt in, only going forward. Nothing you contribute now can be converted into a revenue claim or an ownership share later.
• Your private and unpublished writing is not used to train general-purpose AI models. See Privacy Policy §5.

Changing any of these would require your explicit, separate written consent, and we would give at least 30 days' notice before proposing it.
