Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Novelhaus ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit content. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 may browse publicly available content without an account.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You may not transfer your account to another person.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of the original creative work you submit (pitches, episodes).
• By submitting content, you grant SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc. a worldwide, royalty-bearing, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and distribute your content as part of the collaborative novel production process, subject to the revenue share described in the Author Terms.
• You warrant that your submissions are original work and do not infringe any third-party copyright.
• Novelhaus platform technology, branding, and system design are protected by US Patent No. 11,935,518 B2 and KR Patent No. 10-2622940.

5. Revenue Share & Author Program

Authors who participate in the platform's creation process are eligible for revenue distribution as follows:

• 52% — Novelhaus platform (operations, AI, marketing, distribution)
• 12% — Original pitch author (concept & worldbuilding)
• 36% — Episode writers (shared equally among participants)

Full details are in the Author Terms & Whitepaper. Revenue is distributed via Stripe Connect. Authors earning over $600/year will receive a 1099-K for US tax purposes.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Submitting content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
• Rating manipulation, bot activity, or coordinated voting schemes
• Harassing, threatening, or defaming other users
• Attempting to reverse-engineer or circumvent the platform's technology
• Submitting AI-generated content as your own original work without disclosure
• Any activity that violates applicable US federal or state law

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via Account Settings. Deletion masks your personal data; published novel contributions may be retained for system integrity.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email and on-platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
