1. The Forced Narrative
“Now, here comes the highlight of Episode 3. Betrayal by the comrade you trusted most. This is exactly the moment when ratings explode.”
With a snap of Kyle’s fingers, Mina’s eyes lose focus.
Her arm bends grotesquely, like a marionette hanging from invisible strings. The dagger in her hand points toward Jinwoo’s throat.
Her lips tremble. Tears well in her eyes.
But her body is already under the control of the script.
“Jinwoo… my body… I can’t control it… Run!”
Despite her cry, the dagger flies toward Jinwoo’s heart with precise and lethal speed.
2. Hacking God’s Grammar
Jinwoo instinctively tries to dodge, but his feet will not move.
It is not physical force.
The world’s computation engine has fixed his coordinates. God has written that he must be stabbed. Therefore, the act of evasion itself has become impossible.
In that split second, Jinwoo’s hacker instincts awaken.
He frantically manipulates the portable device connected to his brain.
If I can’t change the laws of physics, I’ll manipulate the input values of my own sensory data.
Jinwoo overloads his neural interface and forcibly converts the signals of pain and fear into signals of ecstasy and laughter.
3. Boredom as Counterattack
Mina’s blade sinks deep into Jinwoo’s shoulder.
Blood sprays across the scene.
It should be a tragic moment. A normal protagonist would scream in agony, and the viewers would cheer at the suffering.
But Jinwoo bursts into insane laughter.
“Hahaha! More! Stab me again! This is hilarious!”
The expected catharsis of tragedy collapses.
The victim, who should be in pain, is laughing uncontrollably.
The invisible cheers from the sky instantly turn into cold boos. The floating graph marked [Real-time Ratings: 15.8% ↓] begins to plummet.
4. Attempting to Log Out
Kyle, the producer, panics as the ratings crash.
“What are you doing? This isn’t in the setup! You’re supposed to cry!”
Bleeding heavily, Jinwoo grabs Kyle by the collar.
“Can you feel it? The thing your gods fear most. A boring show. If we stop playing along with the script, your channel dies.”
At that moment, Jinwoo detonates the noise bomb he had prepared in advance.
The device amplifies every electromagnetic signal inside the mine, temporarily covering human brainwave transmission with white noise.
5. Ending: Blackout
The entire sky fills with static like an old television screen.
For the first time in history, the Earth Channel — broadcast live across the universe — suffers a total transmission failure.
Kyle’s body begins to disintegrate into noise.
“How dare you interrupt God’s broadcast? This is a broadcast accident! You’ll all be disposed of!”
As Jinwoo loses consciousness, he mutters toward the sky:
“It’s commercial break, you bastards…”
The screen goes black.
Silence falls.
Then, from within the darkness, a mechanical voice — not Jinwoo’s — speaks.
“Emergency notice: System recovery in progress. To prevent the forced termination of Season 1, the Cleanup process will now begin.”
