Episode 4 – The Trash Track

The sky remains frozen in a state of broadcast failure, filled with crackling static. Jinwoo and the Dead Zone members regain consciousness deep inside the mine. But the world is no longer the same. 1. The Unrendered World When Jinwoo and his group emerge from the mine, the scene before them is grotesque. The distant mountains have become gray, textureless masses. The flowing river is frozen like a still image. Because the broadcast failure has cut off the world’s resource supply, areas not directly watched by God begin losing data first. Reality starts degrading into low resolution. “This place is an abandoned set now,” Jinwoo says. “A place outside God’s gaze.” He checks his device. The outgoing signal is still cut off. But now he can see internal system log files. Inside them are events humanity once believed were fate, stored under filenames such as: [Script_Event_Final_v1.2] 2. The Arrival of the Sweepers Then the silence breaks. Giant error-message windows fall from the sky. From inside them, humanoid figures with red eyes pour out. They are The Sweepers, sent by God’s system. Instead of weapons, they carry data-erasure devices known as Erasers. Wherever a Sweeper passes, trees, rocks, air — everything disappears, leaving behind a perfect void of nothingness. “Error data detected. Deletion process initiated.” As the Sweepers reach toward Jinwoo, the tips of his arms begin to crumble into square pixels. His very existence is being treated as a data error. 3. Mina’s Awakening: Data Interference At the critical moment, Mina, who saw God’s interface in the previous episode, screams and steps in front of the Sweepers. Astonishingly, when her hand touches one of them, its body freezes solid. “I can see it… I can see what kind of code they’re running on!” Mina has become more than someone being watched. By exploiting the system error inside herself, she has gained the ability to interfere with data. When she sweeps her hand through the air, the Sweepers’ attack trajectories twist out of control. Mina has become a glitch in the cosmic reality show itself. 4. Escape to the Void With Mina’s help, Jinwoo breaks through the Sweepers’ encirclement and heads toward a place not marked on any map: The Void. It is where discarded data, abandoned by God during the early design stage of the world, gathers. It is also the weakest surveillance zone in the system. The place they arrive at looks like a surrealist painting. An upside-down ocean rises in the sky. Flowers on the ground spin like clockwork gears. There, Jinwoo and his companions meet unexpected figures. 5. Ending: The City of the Dead The people living there are geniuses recorded in history as dead — great minds who were deleted because they noticed the system too early. An old man steps forward from among them. Jinwoo recognizes him from textbooks as one of the greatest physicists of the twentieth century. The old man adjusts his pixel-broken glasses and says: “So the one who finally figured out how to change the channel has arrived. Welcome, protagonist of the broadcast accident.” Behind him, the silhouette of a massive dimensional server — built to hack God’s world — comes into view. Episode 4 ends there.
