This Single Writer (Solo Publishing) Agreement ("Agreement") is an appendix to the Novelhaus Terms of Service. It applies when you use the Single Writer Program to publish and sell your own manuscript independently.
Single Writer is a private writing and publishing-support service for authors who want to complete and publish their own manuscript independently. It is not part of the collaborative Novelhaus program: there are no community votes, no episode co-authors, and no collaborative 52/12/36 revenue split. We provide hosting, optional production support, and platform sales for your e-book.
Optional production services — including AI review, editorial support, formatting, and publishing assistance — may be offered for a fee separate from the revenue split. Any fee is disclosed to you before you incur it. Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, service fees are non-refundable once the service has begun. Purchasing a service does not guarantee that your work will be published or that it will achieve any particular result.
Requesting publishing review does not guarantee publication. We may, in our reasonable discretion, decline, delay, or remove any work — for example, where it may infringe third-party rights, violate platform policy or applicable law, or expose us or others to liability. If we decline a work before performing a paid service, we will refund fees for services not yet performed; we have no other obligation arising from a decision not to publish.
You represent and warrant that you are the sole author and owner of the manuscript, that it is your original work, and that it does not infringe or violate any third party's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights, and is not defamatory or unlawful. You are solely responsible for originality, plagiarism, copyright, defamation, privacy, and all third-party intellectual-property matters relating to your work. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless in accordance with ToS §12 for claims arising from your work or your breach of this Agreement.
Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect and are paid only when amounts are actually received by us, subject to processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, and minimum payout thresholds. You must keep your payout and verification information accurate and current; we are not liable for delays or losses caused by incorrect information. You are solely responsible for taxes on amounts you receive. We will collect tax information and issue tax forms (such as Form 1099-NEC or 1099-K) only where and as required by applicable law; thresholds and forms are set by law and may change.
