SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc. operates Novelhaus. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how creative content may be processed, and the privacy choices available to you.
This Privacy Policy applies to novelhaus.com and related Novelhaus services operated by SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc., a Delaware C corporation ("Novelhaus," "we," "us," or "our").
Novelhaus is a working platform completing launch-readiness review. Our production vendor stack and commercial procedures may change as live operation expands. SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc. is incorporated in Delaware, United States, and Novelhaus is operated from Seoul, Republic of Korea. Material changes affecting how personal information is handled will be reflected in an updated policy before they take effect.
Account information: Username, email address, display name, password credential stored in hashed form, account status, and profile information you choose to provide.
Creative and community content: Story pitches, synopses, episodes, manuscripts, comments, ratings, scores, author profiles, pen names, editorial activity, contribution records, and other content you submit or create on the Platform.
Purchase information: When you buy an e-book or other paid product, our payment processor may process your payment card and billing information. Novelhaus may receive transaction details such as payment status, amount, currency, transaction identifier, customer email, refunds, and chargebacks. Novelhaus does not intentionally store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
Author payout and tax information: If you become eligible for contributor payments, we may collect your legal name, payout email or other supported payout identifier, country or jurisdiction, and tax documentation when required by law. Payment providers process payout-account information under their own privacy terms.
Revenue and contribution records: We record credits, contribution roles, allocation percentages, payment status, work identifiers, sales-related records, and payout history needed to administer the Collaborative and Single Writer programs.
Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device information, operating system, session information, pages and features used, timestamps, referral information, error logs, and security events reasonably necessary to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Platform.
Communications: Information you send through contact forms, support messages, legal notices, privacy requests, or other communications with Novelhaus.
Novelhaus is a collaborative publishing platform. Some information is intended to become public. Depending on the feature you use, your pen name, profile, pitch, episode, rating, attribution, published work, or other contribution may be visible to other users or to the public.
Collaborative Program: if a contribution becomes part of a Final Collaborative Work, the standard program uses the same 52% / 12% / 36% structure for copyright ownership and Distributable Revenue, while SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc. has sole contractual authority to administer and commercially exercise the Final Collaborative Work copyright. A privacy request or account deletion does not automatically cancel those finalized contractual rights and obligations.
Single Writer: authors who prefer to keep full ownership and independent control of their own manuscript may use the Single Writer program instead, subject to the limited service rights described in the Single Writer Agreement.
Content that has been incorporated into a finalized or published Collaborative Work may remain available after account deletion where reasonably necessary to preserve the work, contributor records, attribution, licensing history, rights administration, revenue accounting, and platform integrity, subject to the applicable Author Terms and applicable law.
Do not submit information to a public area of Novelhaus that you do not want others to see, copy, quote, discuss, or otherwise use in ways permitted by the Platform rules and applicable law.

Novelhaus does not sell personal information for money and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. privacy laws.
Novelhaus may use AI-assisted tools to help organize, draft, summarize, edit, translate, classify, or otherwise process creative content when a platform feature calls for that processing.
When a third-party AI service is used, the content and instructions reasonably necessary to perform the requested function may be transmitted to that provider. Such providers process information under their own contractual and privacy terms and under the configuration used by Novelhaus.
Novelhaus does not claim a general right, merely because you submit content, to use unpublished creative submissions to train a general-purpose AI model. If Novelhaus later proposes materially different AI-training uses of creator content, we will update the applicable terms and privacy disclosures and obtain any consent required by law or contract.
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or unintentionally similar to existing material. AI processing is used as an assistive tool and does not replace human review, editorial judgment, or contributor responsibility.
We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
Service providers may process personal information only for the services they provide to us, subject to their applicable contracts, terms, and legal obligations.
Novelhaus uses cookies and similar technologies that are reasonably necessary for login sessions, security, preferences, fraud prevention, and basic platform operation.
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential tracking that requires additional notice or consent, we will update our disclosures and provide controls as required by applicable law.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Platform, maintaining published works, administering contributor rights and payments, securing the service, resolving disputes, and meeting legal, tax, accounting, and audit obligations.
Backup copies may persist for a limited period after information is deleted from active systems and will be handled according to our backup and security procedures.
Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to Novelhaus, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of certain personal information. You may also have rights to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling, and in some jurisdictions to appeal a denied request.
We may need to verify your identity before processing a privacy request. Where permitted, you may use an authorized agent. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. If applicable law provides an appeal right, you may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision or contacting hausnovel@gmail.com.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These may include access controls, encrypted transport, password hashing, secure coding practices, logging, backups, and security review appropriate to the stage of the Platform.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting access to your account. If we discover a security incident requiring notice under applicable law, we will provide notification as required.
Novelhaus accounts and content-submission features are intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly permit users under 18 to create accounts or submit personal information through account features.
If you believe a person under 18 has created an account or provided personal information, please contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.
SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc. is a Delaware corporation, and Novelhaus is operated from Seoul, Republic of Korea. Novelhaus and its service providers may process information in more than one country. Company management, technical support, development activities, hosting, payment, AI, email, security, or other service-provider operations may involve processing in South Korea, the United States, or other countries where our providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws may differ across jurisdictions. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use appropriate contractual, technical, organizational, or other transfer mechanisms.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform, law, or our service-provider relationships change. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice by email, on-platform notice, or another appropriate method where required by law.

Single Writer is a private writing and publishing support service for authors who want to complete their own manuscript independently. It is separate from collaborative Novelhaus projects.
