How contributions work here, in plain language. These terms replace the Author Terms and the Single Writer Agreement in full.
You keep the copyright in everything you write. Novelhaus takes no percentage of it and pays no money for it. What you get is a permanent public credit and a story that grows past what you could finish alone. Nothing you contribute can ever be sold without your written agreement.
Every signed-in Novelhaus member who posts a pitch, rates a pitch, writes an episode, or develops a manuscript in the Single Writer workspace. There is no separate application, no tier, and no contract to counter-sign. Reading and writing are open to every member in good standing.
As between you and Novelhaus, you own the copyright in your original writing: pitches, episodes, complete manuscripts, and any cover art you made. Novelhaus does not acquire, share, or administer that copyright. There is no assignment, no work-for-hire, and no allocation of percentages.
Posting on Novelhaus grants a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, format, display, and technically process your work so the site can show it to readers, plus the collaborative license in section 4 if you contribute to an open story. That license lasts while your work stays on the platform, and Novelhaus cannot sublicense it to anyone else for commercial use.
You remain free to publish the same work anywhere else at any time, including with a commercial publisher. You do not need our permission and you owe us nothing if you do. For a collaborative story, section 4 applies because other people's writing is mixed in with yours.
Attribution is the currency here. Every accepted contribution is recorded against your account name or pen name and displayed on the work.
Credit is a record of participation. It is not equity, not a royalty, not a percentage, and not a promise of any future payment. It confers no right to control, license, or veto the work as a whole beyond what section 4 says.
An open story is written by several people, and this is how the pieces fit:
Single Writer is for members finishing their own manuscript. It is private until you publish it, it is not opened to community episodes, and it has no rating threshold.

Novelhaus uses AI to organize contributions, propose structure, assemble drafts, edit, and translate. You review and approve anything you submit under your name. AI assistance does not make the output ours, and it does not guarantee that the result qualifies for copyright protection — that depends on how much human authorship it holds.
We do not use your private or unpublished writing to train general-purpose AI models. If that ever changes, we will ask first and you can decline without losing access.
Contributions that break these promises are removed, and repeat violations end the account.
If Novelhaus later offers paid features or a publishing arrangement, it will be a separate written agreement that you decide whether to sign. It will apply only to work you specifically opt in, only from that point forward. Nothing you contribute under these terms can be converted into a revenue claim, an ownership share, or an exclusive license without your explicit, separate consent.
These Contributor Terms replace the Author Terms and the Single Writer Agreement in full. The 52% / 12% / 36% copyright and revenue allocation, the centralized rights administration authority, the Stripe Connect distribution, and the 70/30 e-book split no longer apply to any work, whether contributed before or after the effective date above. SAMCHEONGHAUS Inc. releases any claim it held under those documents.
