A bored God creates the universe and humanity to escape eternal loneliness, but after watching humans repeat violence, vanity, and destruction through their endless online videos, He prepares to reset creation — until one unnoticed clip of a child saving a wounded bird reminds Him that humanity still carries the possibility of goodness.
Story Concept
Before time, before space, before light, there was only God — and God was bored.
To escape the unbearable loneliness of eternity, He created the universe, gave it limits, filled it with stars, and eventually shaped humanity as the one creature capable of looking back at creation with wonder.
For a while, humans fascinated Him. They built civilizations, invented language, created music, buried their dead, prayed, explored, loved, and dreamed. But they also disappointed Him. They killed, destroyed, polluted, repeated the same mistakes, and turned even faith into violence.
God tried to guide them through signs, prophets, warnings, and silence. Still, humanity failed again and again.
Then God discovered humanity’s endless stream of videos — their digital feed. Through it, He watched humans laugh, cry, dance, confess, fight, rescue, grieve, and perform their lives for one another. For a time, this strange new creation cured His boredom.
But eventually, even the feed became repetitive. Vanity, cruelty, noise, and attention-seeking filled the world. Disappointed once more, God prepared to reset creation.
At the final moment, one unnoticed video appeared: a child helping an injured bird in a rainy alley. There was no performance, no reward, no audience — only quiet kindness.
That small act changes God’s mind.
Humanity is flawed, violent, and foolish. But it still carries the ability to protect what is weak. And for God, that fragile possibility is enough to give the world one more chance.
