Story Concept
One night, a man dreams of meeting his late parents and many relatives in a strange place between memory and reality. In the dream, his car appears — not an old car from the past, but the car from his present life.
His late father gets into the passenger seat. His current family also enters the car, filling it with the warmth of the life he has built. For a brief moment, the man feels that his past and present have finally come together. He feels as if he can show his father the road he has traveled, the family he has protected, and the life he has continued after loss.
But then he sees his mother standing outside.
She is close enough to recognize, close enough to call, but somehow distant and unreachable. He wants to bring her into the car. He wants to give her a seat beside the family. Yet something in the dream stops him. The car is full, the door will not open, or perhaps there is an invisible rule between the living and the dead.
His mother does not cry, blame him, or ask why. She only looks at him quietly. That silence becomes more painful than any words.
When he wakes, he realizes the dream was not simply about death. It was about love that still remains, regret that has never fully disappeared, and the quiet sorrow of not being able to bring everyone we love with us into the present.
